Department of Tourism, Jammu and Kashmir

If you are walking or driving around Srinagar, soaking in the sights, the culture and history and feel like a coffee, head to Coffea Arabica on M A Road, not far drom the city centre.
It is also a perfect place to stop for a chat over a cup of coffee, especially black coffee, and succulent kebabs. You can try out soups and shwarmas. Or if you prefer, you can go for a full meal that you can choose from a menu of kashmiri, Lebanese, Iranian, Chinese and Italian cuisine. The food is sinfully rich and delicious as are the beverages. Coffea Arabica is essentially a combination of a cafe and a food court, and all but claims the title of the Srinagar's marquee cafe and food court. It is the favourite hangout of the local and visiting intelligencia and students and the youth.
The warmly-done wooden decor of the cafe provides an inviting cascual and homely dining and coffee experience. The walls are adorned with framed posters of Hollywood stars and productions from New york's Broadway theatre. There is also a small bookshop and a lounge area for coffee and cakes up in the wooden rafters. It also offers services for small parties and functions. The cafe looks out on the road and thus the life of a historic and culturally rich city, which is an added bonus.
Coffea Arabica shares premises with Broadway Hotel and is a stone's throw from several luxury hotels in the Srinagar. It is also close to several of the city's famous attractions - Dal Lake, Tulip garden, Shankaracharya Hill, Bund, Lal Chowk, Jhelum.
Little wonder then that the cafe has over the years been a favourite haunt for tourists as well as Kashmiris.
